William A.M. Courson

BVS(A), D.Ayur., C.H.

William ("Bill") Courson is an Ayurvedic practitioner and clinical herbalist, a Level III professional member (Doctor of Ayurveda) of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, a Reiki master practitioner and teacher and a practionner of Bach flower essence therapy. He has been teacheing and practicing Ayurveda since 2006. His initial training was at the New Jersey Institute of Ayurveda and he holds a baccalaureate degree in Ayuveda from Sai Ayurvedic College, in Miami, Florida. He is a candidate for the doctorate in Ayurveda at that institution

He is on the faculty of the Sai Ayurvedic College where he is also dean for academic affairs and development, the BVI School of Ayurveda in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he is also dean of students, and is principal instructor at the Shiva Shati Yoga School of Ayurveda in Rutherford, New Jersey, which will begin its initial class in April, 2018.

Bill has led numerous workshops, seminars and continuing education courses, participated in television programs and documentaries, authored numerous general interest and professional publications, and is on the Editorial Board of the Ayurveda Journal of Health (formerly Light on Ayurveda Journal) and the International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. 

His practice, Montclair Ayurveda Associates, is located in Montclair, New Jersey where he resides and is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations.
