                                                                             ©2017 Council of Ayurveda Credentialing

Bringing Ayurveda into the mainstream through

accreditation of Ayurveda programs,

as a basis for its acceptance as a licensed profession.

WHY CAC IS THE OPTION FOR SUCCESS

The Council of Ayurveda Credentialing (CAC) is an independent, non-profit organization committed to advancing excellence and quality in Ayurveda Medical Education programs through accreditation as a basis for its acceptance as a licensed profession.  As an independent organization dedicated to accrediting Ayurveda programs, the CAC can ensure that it creates standards that reflect the interest of all stakeholders in the Ayurveda community.

WHAT MAKES CAC DIFFERENT

The 1st question that arises is, "What Makes you Different?"

We are an independent, volunteer, non-profit organization committed to advancing excellence and quality in

Ayurveda Medical Education programs through accreditation, as a basis for its acceptance as a licensed profession.

We have no financial interests in our goals and conduct strict, on-site auditing of each program.

This process is what will allow us to seek 'Accrediting Agency' status with the US Department of Education,

as the next step in gaining all the benefits of a licensed profession, including recognition and funding.

We are striving to standardize this practice, attain the same regulation, recognition & acceptance as Chiropractors

and Acupuncturists and allow much healing in our community.

There are currently membership organizations that provide a fee-based registration service of membership

for schools and practitioners to self-report their credentials and be recognized for their training.

Membership organizations play an crucial role in facilitating practitioners and the continuing education of

professionals and in supporting lobbying efforts, once that stage of progress is reached.

Exams that are being created are also extremely important, as those will need to be furnished to the state to

administer for professional regulation.   However, membership organizations do not qualify as neutral

organizations and financially pose a conflict of interest. As such, these organizations are not recognized by the

US Dept of Education, nor are they substitutes for accreditation.

In addition, CAC HAS ATTAINED FULL ENDORSEMENT FROM THE AYUSH MINISTRY IN INDIA~

Currently, there is no other accrediting authority on Ayurveda programs in the USA, Canada or Europe.

CAC intends to seek 'Accrediting Agency' status with the US Department of Education, as the next step

in gaining all the benefits of a licensed profession, including recognition and funding.
